Story behind the song
In March 2009 the Founder and Administrator of the online songwriters forum of which I am a member, lost his long and hard fought battle with cancer. In April of 2009 the members of the forum held an open mic tribute memorial in his honor and memory and this is the song I wrote for him for the tribute. He was extremely dedicated to his music and a passionate singer, songwriter and musician. His encouragement to the members of the forum in their musical and songwriting endeavors went above and beyond and to all of us he did indeed leave his footprints in the sands of time. He will forever be missed.
