Story behind the song
We are currently underway with an online Christmas Open Mic party at a songwriters forum (The Songwriters Forum) where I am not only a member, but the hostess of this event, as well. I needed to write a new Christmas song for this affair and time was ticking by fast and I had absolutely nothing to work with going on in my head for it! One night my 11 year old granddaughter was visiting and I told her I just had to come up with something to write my song about! So I asked her if she had any ideas of what I might could write about. She suggested I write my song about what it was like at Christmas time when I was a little girl. Voila! I had my hook!
