Story behind the song
My friend, William Blake (yes bastard child of the poet - well, third generation or something), said, "You know you're in trouble when you hear yourself say, 'Let's Shoot Tequila!" I ran with it. I spent 6 months in Austin and, man, when I think of all those great Texas outlaw songwriters I get jealous. Blake introduced me to half of them (well, their music, I mean). Drinkin' songs just kind of go with the territory.
