The Silverfish
"There is no limit to the well in which to draw inspiration. There is no reason that great pop music can't be written in all musical genre. From a stark hip-hop drum track to the most complex jazz progressions great melodies tie you to the music you are hearing. The Silverfish is the moniker/band name for Stan Dembowski the sole creator of the songs you are about to hear. Stan is from the Chicagoland area and writes music with hints of funksouljazzblues into singable, danceable pop music. "My music comes from the cumulative blend of the 1950’s through the year 2006 without a direct link to any one particular genre.” Stan has spent the last 12 years writing music with five different bands. Metal to Alternative to Americana to Neo-Soul to Alt-Country and now Silverfish Music. Concentrating solely on hooks and strong melody. This music is equally accessible to all listeners and fits into AAA/Pop/Hot AC musical genres. All of the Silverfish current reviews are at Gods of Music at GODSOFMUSIC.com. Quick Quotes: Lately “What Stan has going for him is that it appears he’s well enough versed in multiple genres that he could, potentially, make a pretty decent living selling songs regardless of which way the wind blows stylistically. I’d say Stan has a potential winner on his hands with this one ” Not Her Life “ This is the kind of song that radio has been waiting for, even if those execs out there don't know they're looking. And those vocals, I just can't fault them. This guy has pipes” Wonder “Good pop music is tough to put together because the song has to lend itself to a popular audience and still rope in a sophisticated audience. It’s a very difficult rope to walk. The Silverfish surprised the hell out of me with their ability to walk that rope.” 9.5 of 10. Money “The vocals are great, they remind me of David Grey. The production is excellent and the song just oozes good vibes. This one is well worth checking out!” 9.1 of 10

Story behind the song
Someone who didn't want to live...and five years of a life missing.
Lyrics
Somebody Else’s World Out here in the darkness, it’s never really going away. I know you decided, the hour you would end and the day. Come out with the lifeless, cause he knows what you’re trying to say. I know you been lonely, so get outside of you life into the silence. In and out of my life, waiting for the sunlight and no one told her how she got older. She will never find out, if she let the light out. And I once told her it Somebody Else’s World. Inside here so often, we keep the things we should throw away. Beside mothers orphan the helper and the high life will stay. Get out of the darkness, and show me why I should go away. I see that the hour is closing in the step of silence here comes the violence. In and out of my life, waiting for the sunlight and no one told her how she got older. She will never find out, if she let the light out. And I once told her it Somebody Else’s World. You move in and out of my life, waiting for the sunlight and Five years older, nobody told her. She will never find out, until the lights out. And I once told her it Somebody Else’s World.
