Story behind the song
Another improvisation. I started playing in a slightly down mood, expecting to move through some primarily deep and dissonant tones, but the process of working out the ornamentation around the simple theme of the piece somehow lifted a weight from my mind, allowing the rest of the song raise itself out of the mire in which it began. The sun started shining, birds started to sing ... literally ... see the white balance change just after 0:30 ... :-) Standard Disclaimer: The piece above is a one-off improvisation piece played by Cameron Fletcher on September 19, 2009. Any similarity to previously published work is unintentional, and should be viewed as a reflection of a deep subconscious respect. All video and musical content portrayed in the work is copyright Cameron Fletcher, 2009, but I'd be open to allowing it's use for suitably community-spirited projects ... please contact me for further discussion.
