Country with a little rock and a little rhythm and blues
I am new here in Nashville but not new to singing. I have been on stage since I was 5 and never wanted to leave.I was the only child of a single mom with Juvenile Diabetes. My dream was always to come out here and touch the hearts of many with my voice but I stayed home and took care of my mom. Mom passed away three years ago and as my biggest fan she made me promise that I would go for my dreams. So I packed up the kids and the husband and headed out here. Don't worry I didn't have to twist his arm to much he was born and spent half his life right here in Louisville. I have a unique sound that many have described as comforting. People ask who do I think I sound like and I can honestly say nobody. I am uniquely me and that'sa good thing.

Lyrics
Sometimes Country Boys Get the Blues © April Johns He’s busted and bruised Broken and abused Tired and hurting Can’t keep going on His heart is bleeding Sadness repeating Chorus She led him along But he can’t keep hangin on Wonderin where his life’s headed to It’s time for her to decide He’s got feelins he can’t hide Tired of feelin so blue Been cheated and discarded He’s so broken hearted He’s just tryin to mend And he’s willin to bend Grown men sometimes cry Hide tears from his eyes Sometimes country boys get the blues Repeat chorus Bridge No one walks away a winner He ain’t no saint but he ain’t no sinner Repeat Chorus Sometimes country boys get the blues
