This is more of a straight-up rock tune. I spent a fair time on this with writing drums, multiple guitar parts, a wee solo at the end and playing with production. Pbrain, my rap artist pal gave me some ideas. Thnx! topic: It's a medicated world...

Story behind the song
I wrote the chorus a LONG time ago when some of my close friends were going through rough patches. I was trying to relate in my own way I suppose. I was stuck at the chorus though, until a couple of days ago when I rediscovered it digging through tracks on my pc. I got inspired and even starved myself today working on it, (I hermitted in my room and couldn't bear to break for lunch).
Lyrics
There wasn't one thing- Just one instance Where the world crumbled, tumbled down. But I remember A time before these little things, That worked their way to wear you out. I'm here for you, so please just Hold on, Just hold on. Please don't ask how We can laugh now When the pills are the ones that tell the jokes. Maybe one day You won't need them. A smile will fill your cheeks high. And on that day, I look forward To meeting you without those funny pills.
