Story behind the song
The Idea for the song came after watching a documentary about Life (and Death ) on the Front line in Afghanistan and Iraq

Great sound, Floyd-like heavy progressive rock with superb string bending!!!!!! Good lyrics pointing out the tragedy of a life consumed in these sorry circumstances and showing the price per pound, brought on by political BS!!!!! Another case of "peel the potatoes, but be the meat", just like Viet-Nam......the politicians don't care as long as they feed money to the War Machine, but those young men and women deserve far more than coming home in a box!!!!!!!!!! I respect and honor them, but not those who sent them there in Iraq........ Great work Doomtrain!!!!!!!!!!! Best to ya, Wade

Anything to help wake up the nation, blood begets blood, eye for an eye is, whatever justifcation one can find for war they will, after all that is the culture of man yet not a thing was ever freed by war. Always driven by greed & power, After Vietnam.....did we learn nothing? Life is sacrificed & we need to stay strong united & express our outrage to the powers that be. 8 yrs & still counting,???? unreal, Stick with your heartfelt lyrics and continue in peace against this evil so called necessity. Your not alone, there are alot of songs & lyrics out there against the war, we obviously need more, tx for your song, l don't like to put meloncoly songs on my station but there is a time for freedom of expression and l do identify with those who have little choice tho, if you train people to fight you'll always have to keep them busy doing it. Our planet is in peril in so many ways in which we seem to have no control. Sometimes a voice is heard in the silence. Love & prayers ktf Deb
