Growing up in the heart of Toronto, DJ Regican is a young artist of Sri Lankan ethnicity whose interest in music has him aiming high and wanting to inspire people across the globe. He initially started creating mixes in 2002 with his friends by combining songs of Western and Indian origin. His determination of reaching for the stars soon led him and his music-inspired friends to create their own record label, Nosiderz Entertainment. In 2004, Regican began to Deejay, and as of 2006, he started to produce his own beats and music. He has worked with many other young artists in Toronto. Throughout his collaboration with DJ Lady Pista, he released two Tamil Mixtapes in 2006 and 2007 labeled Illicit Fiya and Illicit Fiya II, respectively. He has also released a Rap Mixtape labeled Blindom in 2007 and a Reggae Mixtape labeled Seduction in 2008. DJ Regican is currently working on his upcoming album as he continues to produce his music.
