Flapper jazzer poppy song about seeking out "the chosen one" that best suits you and your life!
Singer - Songwriter from Shropshire in England
Born some moons ago, always loved writing and drawing sice i was a kid and have written songs since i was 13, over the years since i have recorded on everything from little tape decks to nowadays my yammy n12.
Eventually got brave and released some of my efforts at music onto the internet in 2007 followed a year later by a debut nerve shredding live performance of some of my tunes and a few quirky covers.

Today im posting up two more songs from my new cd "Take it on the chin", one the albums power ballad and the other the albums what the f*%k was that!.
The cd contains 13 all new tunes written, performed, produced my me and hopefully takes my music to the next stage post towards something that people can listen to and enjoy and not use as a coaster, incidentally the cd comes in the shape of a reproduction of a vinyl lp complete with grooves so it will make a very nice cool coaster if the picture in the middle doesn't scare you too much, and no its not me its my good chum from pompeii who I found tucked away in a quiet corner and thought, my son you will make a very nice album cover someday, and so here he is ladies and gentlemen boys and girls and corbetts around the world "mr take it on the chin".
The two songs i've uploaded here along with the "whoa song" from a few months back hopefully show that im as eclectic as ever with my music and the other 10 tracks move from blues to folk to rock to pop and so on, i just love making music and even tho im not very good at it i hope to carry on until i drop.
The shoulder song aka (trust pt 1)
This is the ever faithful album power ballad, a tune I wrote nearly three years ago but only finished about three weeks ago!, a personal favorite of mine but one which has caused me no end of grief getting it to its present state, finding the belief that i could sing it and do a decent enough job caused me to forever try and offer it out to my friends to sing before i finally just one afternoon recorded a vocal i was happy enough with, its actually four at once to cover all the bases and I liked it so much i knocked the instruments back a tad to leave the first few lines accapella to really start a power ballad from nothing!, the song is all about faith as is "jazzy" and a few other of the tunes on the cd, having faith in whatever form it takes really holds us all together and this song is all about tying all the bits together and moving forward after taking a knock to still try and reach whatever goals you set yourself, i set myself goals i know will be hard to achieve but i'll still keep chipping away at them for the sake of my soul and my sanity and this will forever be my motto until i either achieve them or cark it!.
Jazzy
"Jazzy" is another song about having faith, the lyrics do tend to make it sound rather like a religious calling chant which in a way it is i suppose, cause there are so many people with so many different beliefs who don't agree with other people's beliefs in this world, its my belief that peace can never be achieved because of it!, but we all need faith of some sort in our lives, even though it causes a lot of pain and suffering along with the happy bits we all enjoy from time to time.
I wrote "Jazzy" after hearing the phrase "go grab yourself some sense" in a old Jimmy cagney film i was watching, this also determined the type of sound i would try and get for it, so out come some very dodgy piano and trumpet playing along with some guitar bits im very fond of!!, all in all it was a blast to record which i hope comes across!, even tho I had a stinking cold for the vox which i never later changed cause i liked how it sounded for this one!, all said and done i was really happy with how this came out, being well out of my comfort zone and leading me into a new direction with my songwriting which i took further on a couple of the other songs on the cd and which at the moment is dominating my new stuff!!.
