Story behind the song
Myself and Chas struck up a conversation on a forum about possibly doing a collaboration and I sent him a few ideas one of which was Someone Save Me Now which was just me a piano and strings with some very light percussion. It had an OK feel to it but was kind of naked. He started embellishing it with this great big sound and asked me to say stop when I was ready but it just sounded so perfect that I never did. Lay Me Down is the end result and to hear it as it should be you can download the wav file here. http://www.silvertrain.biz/laymedown.wav A big thank you to Chas for taking this song to another level. You can hear more of his music here http://www.soundclick.com/333maxwell
Lyrics
Someone save me now From this lonely town Someone lay me down Take me down to the ground They say theres only one way out (They say theres only one way out) They say theres only one way now (They say theres only one way down) Wont you tell me how (Wont you please, please tell me how) Fore they lay me down Someone help me now Help me stand my ground Someone help me now Fore I fall back down They say theres only one way out (They say theres only one way out) They say theres only one way now (They say theres only one way down) Wont you tell me how (Wont you please, please tell me how) Fore they lay me down They say theres only one way out (They say theres only one way out) They say theres only one way now (They say theres only one way down) Wont you tell me how (Wont you please, please tell me how) Fore they lay me down (Lord you gotta lay me down) Fore they lay me down (Lord you gotta lay me down) Fore they lay me down (Lord you gotta lay me down) Fore they lay me down (Lord you gotta lay me down) Fore they lay me down
