All music, lyrics, performance and production done by me. This is still a bit of a work in progress, so any feedback appreciated.

Sometimes soft and melancholy, sometimes not..
I'm a a singer/songwriter originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I've tinkered with many instruments but pretty much stick to piano and guitar. I've been a member here at Soundclick for about 20 years now, I have met some incredible people from all over the world. I have collaborated with a lot of different musicians in my time here, but most notably I have been working quite closely with Juri Rosenfeld aka Grand Jury. Juri is an utterly amazing composer, musician, arranger, producer from Finland. And I am thrilled to be working with him. Very often the lyricist for these songs is Dawn Sinclair an extremely talented and prolific writer from England. From time to time I have worked with other artists as well, most of whom I have met here on Soundclick. Another SC member, Tom Moore and I have worked closely together on many projects as well, including a 17 song Christmas CD. I absolutely love musical collaboration but have recently been trying to focus on completing some more of my own original compositions. Also check out the band Fractured Beauty, here on Soundclick another collaboration project featuring the talents of Bob Kingdon and others with a psychedelic vibe.

Lyrics
If you could look inside me If you could see my soul You'd find an empty hollow where once there was so much more. Sometimes I don't know who I am sometimes I just can't see. I'm trying so hard to find meaning, I think I've misplaced me. And now I know there's no writing on the wall. Just a door, Leading me nowhere at all. CHORUS I'm a little bit broken I'm a little worse for wear. This agony is unspoken You may not see it, But it is there. And I've gotta find a way to make it, and I've gotta find a way to make you see you will find something more than extraordinary when you look inside of me... If you could strip me naked down to the very core you'd see no cuts or bruises but on the inside I'm raw sometimes I pray for guidance sometimes I just can't see how and where I went so wrong just trying to be me and now I know there's no way to crawl but out into the sun away from darkness and doubt Repeat CHORUS

Beautiful song, beautiful voice. Great harmony and I caught a glint of your Anne Wilson influence at the end.

Delicious darling....there are always changes that can be made to any song...they suit some and not others...make the choices that suit you. Me, I loved it start to finish....but I have said that about other songs, then it's been revamped and I've loved the revamp too....maybe I am just too easy to please lol Love you baby...and this song is fabbbbbbbbb

Hello Amy, I love to listen to your fabulouus voice, you sing with sooooo much passion.....such a delight !!!! I am feauturing your Heartache this week, you did such a fantastic job with it... I am doing much better now, healthwise, in June I had a pulmanary embolism (blood clot in the right lung), it almost killled me, my love for music helped me to fight my way back....life is soooo short and when it is almost gone, we struggle to get back where we were... I traveled to Philadelphia two weeks ago and auditioned for the "America's Got Talent" program. I may hear back from them in January. I waited in line for 9 1/2 hours before auditioning...I was soooo tired by then, I sang "Honey" and it went well...There were over 2000 people auditioning so my chances are slim of getting a call, but it was a learning experience.....and fun, I made some new friends and enjoyed the experience. How are you doing, Please update me on you latest endeavors, I would love to hear how you ar

Hi Amy, Well, I know some of your great work with many of the talented people here on SoundClick. Now we know you can do it on your own too! Regards, Trick T.
Hi Amy, Voice is super, and a really beautiful melody, particularly the chorus :-) It is of course great as it is, but seeing as you're looking for comments, heres my tuppence worth: A couple of things I'd try: 1) Wait with the strummy guitar (the one panned hard left) until 1st chorus or 2nd verse. I reckon this would make the start much stronger, and possibly the first chorus. 2) For the break at 3:19 to 3:28, find a different rhythm for the strummy guitar, it seems to be working against the other instruments (at least not in a useful way) 3) Towards end of song, at around 3:48, replace the 'and I gotta find' section with the chorus (from 'I'm a little bit'.... to 'but it is there'). We can take hearing it again, and leaves us with this in mind instead of the other section which isn't quite as strong.

Hi Amy, A little Bit Broken is a beauty. You have come along way in your production skills. This is a very good song. Your vocals are top notch as usual.
