Every since I was born I’ve always had the urge to entertain. I would do all types of things to excite friends and family just to put a smile on their faces. Plus it made me feel good knowing that I could do things that people enjoyed seeing me do. Once I started school, I began to develop and craft my talents of singing, drawing, acting, dancing, writing songs and producing music! Out of all my talents, music had seemed to steal my heart and curiosity.
I began singing in about the 6th and 7th grade. Singing and listening to music helped me relax and focus on what ever I was doing at the time. I never really had any professional vocal training. All I would do was just listen to the current music that was on the radio and try to mimic their runs and riffs until I got it right.
In high school is where I decide that singing was the career for me. I attended The High School for the Creative And Performing Arts..C.A.P.A. for short. The same school from which the likes of Boyz II Men and The Roots attended. There I majored in in Visual Artist, and minored in Vocal Music, Dance, and Drama.
Since then I’ve been in two singing groups, Co-Hosted a local music video show in Philly called Urban X-pressions, and worked in various recording studios. While I was in search for someone to intern under, I was introduced to Mr. Dexter Wansel (A former artist/producer and musical genius from Philadelphia International Records). Dexter taught me the basics of studio recording while reminding me to stay grounded, respectful, and most importantly humble. I’ve also had the opportunity and honor of being vocal trained by a female vocalist from Philly named Veronica Underwood. She also vocal trained another male artist from Philly named Musiq Soulchild.
Some of my musical influences include Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, 112, David Ruffin, Rodney Jerkins, Stevie Wonder, P.Diddy, Michael Jackson, and Russell Simmons. If I could I would name ever recording artist because good or bad I believe that every artist in one way or another has inspired me to be the best at what I do.
I’m very focused, constant, driven, sincere, and innovative. I know that what ever it takes for me to become successful in this music business is a goal that I can not afford not to accomplish. I also believe that “NO” just means not right now! That is why I can and will prevail over any obstacle that comes between me and my career. I realize success comes with many sacrifices that I know I will have to take. I also realize that this business is not built for everyone. But I know I have the drive, passion, and determination to be victorious. Music is my life. I wake up thinking about music and I go to sleep thinking about music.
I love to entertain and I know I will flourish in music and other partitions of entertainment. I believe that I can make history and that I would an distinction to your company. More importantly I want to create a relationship of trust and honesty to become a member of a successful family. Because there is one thing that I decisively believe and that is that “Success is not just a result, it’s a Lifestyle!”
