Story behind the song
Sometimes we seek comfort and escape in dangerous places. Bad choices and "too much of a good thing" just might kill ya. Moderation is such a hard thing to do sometimes.
Lyrics
Ain't always a good thing, that you just can't put down (x2) 'Cause too much of a good thing...gonna put you in the ground Might come in a bottle, gonna take your pain away (x2) But when tomorrow is today, man are you gonna pay Might come in a bag, gonna ease your worried mind (x2) but when you roll too many, ya start to lose what you're tryin' to find Might come in a pill, or some candy for your nose (x2) But the Blues will come a callin', when that good thing finally goes Might be a woman, oh lord that makes you feel so good (x2) But when she says goodbye, you'd lay down and die if ya could Ain't always a good thing, that you just can't put down (x2) 'Cause too much of a good thing..gonna put you in the ground

You can say that again! I've had my share of excess in my time, might have one too many beers these days but that's about it."You might lose what you're tryna find" -yeah that just about sums it up, your songs are about real life and to the point, that's my kind of thing. This kind of guitar playing is what moved me on from listening to the Beatles. You are a better player than you think you are,I know people who think they're great but they're not in your league, it ain't what ya do it's the way that ya do it, that's always been my philosophy and you're the epitome of that.

A nice blues groove, the sound is really good too, can hear everything clearly, especially the lyrics, as non of the instruments step on anyones toes to mask. The slide is really cool in the solo, another really fine tune here.
Down home blues helllllllllllllllll yeahhhhhhhhhhhh !
