I'm a guitarist, singer, and songwriter from central Kentucky. My music is a mix of many different influences; from the country and western I heard as a child to some stuff I heard yesterday. I was a full time, working musician for over twenty years; doing clubs and concerts all over the eastern U.S., but mainly in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. I have played every kind of venue; from the smallest, seediest club to 10,000 seat concert halls. Loved every minute of it. I also spent many hours in various studios as both musician and producer on a variety of projects. I am now a part time musician; I divide my musical time between writing and recording my own songs and playing with a great bunch of musicians in a band called "The Grandees". I write songs primarily to make you shake your money maker. I'm not deep, and I'm certainly no virtuoso. I just want you to have a good time. The songs I have here are from my second solo CD, titled "The Twisted Tale Of The Honky Tonk Monkey", which is available at CDBaby.com and my upcoming CD "Bad Choices Make Good Stories". My first CD, "All Night Radio", is available at CD Baby and fine CD discount bins everywhere. Thank you for visiting, and... TURN IT UP!!!!!

Story behind the song
Lately it seems like things are going to Hell in a Handbasket, and a lot of folks are frustrated. Sometimes you just wanna say "C'mon, Man!!"
Lyrics
I got somethin on my mind We left somethin far behind Somethin's goin on I just don't understand Folks that used to be so kind Have gone and lost their minds There's a cloud of darkness spreadin cross the land It's The left versus the right The loose against the tight But no one knows exactly who is which So the Muslims hate the Jews And the Christians in their pews And everybody wants to strike it rich CHORUS: They're robbing us of our humanity They take a little more each day There's not much left of our sanity Our idol's feet are made of clay So it's White versus Black The Jills against the Jacks Everybody's got an axe to grind Agnostics kill the Christers There's no shortages of shysters There's even those who want to dust the blind Little kids with guns and pills Want to kill and feel the thrill Like modern zombies set to evil work While their poppas and their mommas Take a cruise to the Bahamas And show the natives how to be a jerk CHORUS: They're robbing us of our humanity They want a little more each year There's not much left of our sanity We can't survive with all this fear We got TV news and beer No one's views on news are clear 'Cause we gotta know who's doin what to who There's kids without no shoes And leaders with no clues While the doers keep on doin what they do We better make it stop Or we'll finally blow our top Beginning the beginning of the end You ask me "who will save us?" there's no Superman or shamus It's gotta be you and me my friend I never signed up for this, I been screwed but not been kissed And I never even felt the act at all If I'd a seen it comin You know I'd been a' runnin I'd never listen to the siren's call There's kids without no shoes And leaders with no clues But no one knows exactly who is which It's The left versus the right The loose against the tight And everybody wants to strike it rich
