It was a real long time ago that Jesus saved my mortal soul but somehow I lost my way from the path. I found myself in an awful place with pimples on my teenage face as I began to blaze a trail of my own. Drugs and beer became so dear and I can't count the times that I got so near to a death that was coming way too fast. Out of control and in a bind I began to slowly lose my mind and found myself so far from my home. Chorus: Jesus came to set me free Jesus came for history (His story) One day I went down to the store to see if I could find some more of that stuff that that had a grip on my life. That's when His voice whispered in my ear that Truth and Love just was not here and that He had for me a bigger plan. I got on my knees and asked Him please would He forgive me of my evil deeds and that's about the time that He sent me a wife. She filled my soul with her rock-n-roll and Jesus made us completely whole now I'm living proof that I'm a Godly man. Chorus: Jesus came to set me free Jesus came for history (His story) You see she and I used to live the lie I guess that might be the reason why Jesus laid down His life so that we could be free. It really is a miracle that I have such an awesome girl and we submit ourselves completely unto Him. cuz.... In this world of fear and dread so many lost are becoming dead so we pray so hard for a world that will see That Jesus Christ is alive and strong and He wants you all to hear this song and lift your voice and sing along with me.
