Natalie Brown is a smooth and expressive Pop, Blue-eyed Soul, and R&B songwriter and vocalist.
's passion for music was nurtured from a young age by her involvement in theater, gospel music, creative writing and local session work as a vocalist and writer. Upon deciding to pursue a professional music career, she moved to California and was selected to sing with internationally acclaimed Gospel recording artist Ron Kenoly during his "Welcome Home" tour in 1996. She toured around the USA and upon returning to California, Natalie studied with world-renowned vocal instructors Seth Riggs (Stevie Wonder, Tevin Campbell, Deborah Cox) and Dave Stroud (Terry Ellis of En Vogue, Rosie Gaines). ", a 10 song Cool R&B/Pop influenced collection of Holiday favorites. The album included the beloved "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", the soaring chime of "Silver Bells" and the quietly understated "I'll Be Home For Christmas". Natalie pulled Ray Charles' "Christmas Time" out of the archives and gave it a light, airy spin that served the tune well. Up-tempo numbers included a Swing infused "Let It Snow" and a contemporary pairing of "Winter Wonderland" and "Sleigh Ride". A mellow-groove rendition of "Give Love on Christmas Day" rounded out the sure-to-please Holiday offering. ' and '' were made available on Natalie's official site. Story behind the song
What's Going On Next Door speaks to things we don't generally want to speak about. Domestic violence, abuse, child porn... these are things that are in our world sadly, and sometimes it's hard to know whether to speak out and intervene or stay silent. This song is meant to make you stop and think about it. What would you do if you were right next door and something not so nice was happening?
Lyrics
What?s Goin? On Next Door? (N. Brown /J. Rwakaara) ? Copyright 2008 natfunk music BMI / Zikki Publishing ASCAP V1 Here I go again Covering my ears so I don?t hear it (What a doggone shame) Time and time again I close my eyes So I don?t see it (It just feels insane) But I wanna know CHORUS What?s goin? on next door? It?s hard to tell for sure It?s not my business, no What should I do? What if that?s me next door? Would I want you to know? If I was hurting so What should you do? V2 It?s no concern of mine But I could be mistaken (It?s a chance I?ll take) There might come a time When it?s too late Someone?s forsaken (It?s a sad mistake) Still, I wanna know CHORUS What?s goin? on next door? It?s hard to tell for sure It?s not my business, no What should I do? What if that?s me next door? Would I want you to know? If I was hurting so What should you do? BRIDGE I need to know if I?m responsible for My neighbor, or a stranger But if I wait, it might be to late For an answer Wake up people this has got to STOP CHORUS What?s goin? on next door? It?s hard to tell for sure It?s not my business, no What should I do? What if that?s me next door? Would I want you to know? If I was hurting so What should you do?

Nice work! I just had a neighbor who got killed by her boyfriend. nobody heard a thing. If thats not weird enough, not too many people even knew her name. What a shame. I'll write about it eventually, but till then I'll listen to this song.
