Another great melody and vocal, but I'm with Tammy on this one - needs some polish... and lose those heavy strings somehow. It's like wrapping candyfloss round a piece of sushi, and then eating it with ketchup.

You are a very talented song writer and vocalist Jeni. This is great stuff! Anything I could suggest for production has pretty much been covered by Tammy's remix. You're definitely getting the hang of it. Keep it up!

Not bad for a first mix on your own, Jeni.
Please do still send me the parts in 320 mp3 format separated to tammyswindell@gmail.com , and I will run a production for you, on this, and explain what I did. That is, if you want to. If you don't wish to, I will respect that.
But, some of the learning, sometimes comes from someone doing a production, THEN taking the time to explain what he/she did, and how it was gotten. :)
On the other hand,
You've got a little too much reverb, I'm listening through my work speakers, but it didn't sound bad..there are areas of distortion, but that's to be expected when you're first learning production. I could understand your words very well, and this song is SO beautiful!! :D
I will listen again through my home speakers, and will know some more. I'd not had you turned up very loud here at work.
You keep after this, Girl..you'll get it with time and practice.

Sweet song! Nice melody, and vocals.
I noticed some "digital overs" (distortion) in the bridge. Maybe try "normalizing" the track, and/or adding light limiting before converting to MP3. Just a thought.
+1 for dropping the vocals further into the mix with less verb.
Otherwise, its a gem!
