I wrote this song "A Thief In The Night" in 1991 during the gulf war I had no problem with any of the lyrics it all came to me very quickly and easy then 15 years later In 2006 the lord allowed it to be recorded in a music studio (John's recording studio in Russellville Ar.) After that the Lord has given me four more songs, "Our Redemtion Is Drawing Nigh", "The Trumpet I Can Almost Hear", "When He Appears", "The Son Of Man", "Dangerous Times" May these songs Bless all who hears them! Howdy Murphy, I listened through your songs and my favorites are the alpha and omega of the list, "A Thief in the Night" and "Just A Matter of Time". I had to chalk up five by five on this one and five for all the rest.....I believe "Just A Matter of Time" is my overall favorite, if I had to choose. I really liked the lyrics and melody of this one.....it just grabbed me the firmest, it's for that and no other reason!!!!! You're doing great on all the songs......another fav was "Play Guitar Play" the cover tune and one more "Let Me Be There" & yet again "Why Me Lord" the Kristoffersen song.......well, I guess I liked them all.......nuff said!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah Brother! Great soft guitar picking and singing, just the way I love Worship music, especially for Baptisms, and the like. The title expresses so much, I believe it is just a matter of time: "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping." Mark 13:32-36 Sounds to me that it's just a matter of time!! :)
