A Best of Album, volumes 1&2 (30 tracks) is scheduled for release in February, 2009. Alfredo has released the following 'message' singles, "Let Me Teach Again." (Ode to the teacher) The song was written as a dedication to teachers and the difficulty they encounter when faced with the daily challenge of educating today's youth. Alfredo taught Special Education at the secondary level for 20 years in the Los Angeles area. He also released "All Their Life." (a tribute song for the victims of Hurricane Katrina). Alfredo is a published poet, with 3 complete poetry books to date, entitled, "Coming Together In Harmony," Racial Harmony, Understanding, and Tolerance, "101 Values With a Twist," a poetry book for children (ages 8-15) and his new scheduled to be released book in Spring, 2009, "What Women Want and What Men Need To Know." Alfredo's poetry, as well as his music, is entirely original, written by him. Alfredo Leon's music tells a story, warms the heart, soothes the soul, brightens the spirit, and satisfies the mind. Alfredo Leon's singing is the embodiment of sensuality, inasmuch as his sound reflects a void nothingness, a longing, waiting to be filled. You will clearly hear the passion when he pleads in 2 of his latest tracks, "Missing You Tonight," and "Meet Me In My Dreams." Alfredo Leon's music is truly SSS - SWEET, SEXY SONGS - Enjoy!

Story behind the song
On November 4, 2008, President Obama gave his acceptance speech after winning the election. After hearing his speech, I was inspired to write the song, "Yes We Can." After numerous drafts, I was satisfied I had captured the essence of the President's speeches, including the speech on January 20, 2009. Enjoy!
Lyrics
YES WE CAN (Copyright 2008, by Al Johnson) Verse 1 We have the chance to reclaim the American Dream, together, yes we can. Our task won't be easy, we all must lend a helping hand. Even if your vote was not for me, I'll earn your trust, cause I need you. Hills to climb are vast and steep, reaching the top, is what we must do. Chorus Yes we can come together, woman and man, red states and blue. Then again, we'll be the shinin' light, the whole world looks up to. Yes we can be the best we can be, no more lies, no more deceit. United under our flag as one, home of the brave, land of the free. Yes we can, yes we can, yes we can, yes we can. Verse 2 We'll be the young, old, and in between, that will take this vital stand. Change for the better, will be made, all across this land. Achieving our goal won't happen quickly, real change will take some time. But together, not divided, we'll get there, It'll be so sublime. Back to Chorus Bridge Look at the beauty of our great nation, and all the colors and shades of skin. It should warm your heart, ease your mind, and soothe your soul, that we've come this far, from where we've been. Voice/Adlib Bridge 2 No, the task won't be easy, we have to take a stand. We have the chance to reclaim the American Dream, together, yes we can. Chorus/Hook/Adlib/End Yes we can, come together Yes we can, red states and blue Yes we can, solve our problems Yes,we can, just me and you Yes we can, be that shinin' light Yes we can, home of the brave Yes we can, land of the free Yes we can
