Jimmy Nash is a singer/songwriter from Stillwater, Oklahoma that credits his dad Texas Music radio dj Jim Nash for showing him the way and introducing him to Red Dirt Music. Jimmy’s dad introduced him to a band called The Great Divide when he was younger and after seeing then front man Mike McClure, it inspired Jimmy to write and play his own songs . When Jimmy decided to leave TX and move back to Oklahoma to pursue the baseball dream he just couldn't let go, his dad gave him a Takamine acoustic guitar so he could learn to play and he hasn’t put it down since. Jimmy has been traveling all around Oklahoma for the past few years playing shows solo acoustic at venues such as Dirty's Tavern in Tulsa,OK, The Horseshoe Bar in Yukon, OK, Rooster's and Willie's Saloon on the famous strip in Stillwater,OK as well as The Wormy Dog Saloon in Oklahoma City.In the past year Jimmy has taken his music outside the the red dirt border and branched into Texas and played venues such as Love and War in Plano, The Rockett Cafe in Rockett, Gater's in Gun Barrel City, Timz Tropical Paradise, and The Red Moon Cafe and has shared the stage with Gatlin Gates, Bryan Rolin, Chance Anderson, Greg Reichel, The Pear Ratz, The Robert Donahue Band,The Kyle Hunt Band,The Brandon Clark Band, Bart Crow and Rich O'Toole. Jimmy is now looking to pursue music on a full time level and is looking to put a band together ASAP and heading into studio sometime soon to record a full length cd.
