Story behind the song
In winter, sitting near a window and doing her needlework the Queen day dreams. Wile watching the snow fall outside through her ebony window frame, she accidentally pricks her finger and three drops of blood fall onto the window sill. She wishes she might have a child with hair as black as ebony, skin as white as snow, and lips as red as blood.
