Lunacy Driven is an up and coming band out of Eden, NC. This bands mixed style of "old school" metal blended with a newer sound and more emotional lyrics have combined to create metal music for a new era. Consisting of four members Mick Armstrong, Kyle Rakes, Brandon Benge, and Danny Dix, they've been hitting the local club scene hard in recent months and are growing a respectable following of fans. With a very good ear, and teeth clenched, the band works out every song to their own satisfaction. The time they spend creating and refining their material is evident in their live performance and always leaves a lasting impression on the crowd. Mixing influences from almost every form of music that has rhythm and atmosphere, these guys are taking the music that has driven them, a step further. Lunacy Driven has opened such national acts as Dope, Soilwork, Disarray, Onesidezero, Static Lullaby, On Broken Wings, Hot Water Music, Norma Jean, and Skinlab. Opening for these national acts and getting radio air play on many nearby radio stations over the last year has helped their popularity continue to grow. Many radio stations across Virginia and North Carolina have picked up on Lunacy Driven and play their hit song "Intromission" weekly on their local music shows. With continuously booked weekends, and a more than impressive album in the near future, you can be assured that Lunacy Driven won’t be going anywhere except towards their goals. Hard work is starting to pay off for these guys and they look forward to the future with plans to hit the studio this winter to record their full-length album, which will be released in March of 2004. The album release will be followed up by an East Coast tour that will kick off in late spring of 2004.
