Music that is intelligent, emotional, and unconventional. A journey within a world that is Dead Poets Society.
The music of Dead Poets Society is an emotionally charged gothic/electronic journey through the inner space of the human soul.

Story behind the song
the lyrics for this song was unfortunately inspired by a real life rape that was experienced by the vocalist. She brought the lyrics to us in February of 2000 and from the moment we heard her play this heart wrenching song on accoustic guitar we were moved to work passionately on it. In April/May of 2000 we recorded her vocal tracks. We had already pretty much finished the bulk of the music by the time we were approached. The original instrumental was entitled "among the clouds". For this remix, we used verse one, the chorus and a selected line from verse two. I think that ultimately this arrangement made the song that much more haunting.
Lyrics
she called me on the phone and asked if we could talk last night i heard it in her voice i knew something wasn't right. he was 22. he seemed so nice was all she said. but now at fifteen years, my friend wishes she were dead. (chorus) i wish i had somewhere to cry i wish i'd laid down and just died but i don't i can't take the pain no more i think i'll close up every door but i won't why couldn't you just leave me be and stay away from me stay away from me she lit up a bowl
