Another new idea demoing the Axe FX. This one has some (sloppy) leads in it as well as rhythm guitars and bass recorded through an Axe-FX Ultra.

The Finger is a Southern California recording project led by guitarist Robert Kerns. The music features Robert on guitars and vocals accompanied by various friends on other instruments. Some of the other musicians involved are Don Read on bass, Phil Stranglefoot on drums, Robert Nicolas on guitar and Billy J. Stynchfinger on keys. With a background in hard edged rock and roll, a bit of edumacation in jazz, and in recent years, strong interest in guitar synthesizers, it's no wonder The Finger has such a schizophrenic sound. This page has now become a place where I can upload demos of my Axe-FX meanderings for friends and band members to check them out. For the real band page go to .

Story behind the song
The rhythm guitars were recorded with dual amp chains on both the left and right side. Left side is Das Metal going into the Metal cab combined with FAS Modern into the V30, while the right side is the CAE Lead into the German cab combined with the FAS Modern into V30. The leads are three slightly different patches using the CAE Lead or Rhythm channel. Bass was recorded through the SVT model and the 1x15 and 8x10 cabs. (Obviously played by a guitar player until I can get my bass player over to do something a little more interesting.)
