Dark Earth Dream Music
Dark Earth Dream Music, bellowing out sighs and whispers in the dark forests of the world, echoing lost dreams caught in the shadows of branches and across empty fields and through the silent ghosts in each of our souls... An animal friendly, anti-racist, pro-gay, nature-loving, anti-war, feminist, socialist bunch of freaks looking to change the world one person at a time. In the political spirit of bands like Crass & MDC. ln the musical vein of bands like the Swans & Joy Division. We strive to reach into all areas of struggle to help those who suffer and to tell their stories to the world. Those who are neglected. Those who are abused. Those who are poor. Those who are hungry. Those who are beaten because of their race, their sexuality or their species. Makes no difference who you are. Suffering is universal. Join the frightened world. We are all in need of freedom!

Story behind the song
We always try to combine emotional and social issues in most all of what we do. Usually there is a theme of dream and reality - how they cross and how they differ.
Lyrics
See them die there homeless in the night Walk on by them just don’t look in their eyes Keep on walking keep your purses near They’re demons stalking you have a right to fear Pick up your pace and dream of home And dream of all the things you own And close your eyes and close your mind And close your heart as you walk on by And close your eyes and close your soul And everything you see will go They are not real they cannot feel So does it matter if they’re killed? They’re not alive (You’re not alive) See those lovers the love they have’s not right Loving each other out in the broad daylight Sick & decrepit they have no right to live They’re all infected and they’re out to get your kids So close your doors and pray to god And close your heart and call it love You turn your back when they’re attacked Your guilt of silence a murderous act You wash your hands you wash your soul You wash your guil for the lies you hold You think they’re wrong? You think you’re right? You think you’ll go to heaven when you die? They’re not alive? You’re not alive. 3.5 million people will experience homelessness in a given year 1.35 million of which are children 43% of the homeless population are women 40% of the homeless population are veterans. 1 in every 5 homeless persons has a severe or persistent mental illness 12 million adults in the U.S. have been homeless at some point in their lives 50 to 60% of the women and children who are homeless are victims of domestic abuse 15.6% of hate crimes reported to police in 2004 were founded on perceived sexual orientation hate crimes based on sexual orientation are the third most common type of hate crime, In a 1984 study of nearly 2,100 gay people surveyed in eight U.S. cities, nearly one in four gay men reported having been punched, hit, kicked or beaten at least once in their lives because of their sexual orientation. 42% were threatened with physical violence Community violence surveys suggest that more than 80% of anti-gay attacks go unreported to the police.
