We have been creating original and experimental music together for 21 years and still going strong! Even though we have amassed a plethora of original and often unusual catchy songs, nearly all of them are virtually unheard! (We should have called ourselves Secret Identity)

Story behind the song
This song was recorded at Jean Padovan's 60th Birthday Party before she became Patrick's wife. They are both librarians and so most of the people at the party were librarians. Since I've always been an avid reader, I found this to be a very fun, interesting and unique experience. I thought this would be a good song to include because of the 60th birthday aspect but also because of Bill's many Moon references. I couldn't find any back-up discs for the source data (it was recorded on my Fostex digital 16-trak) and so had to settle for an inferior mix. I would have mixed it differently if I could. I also added a new vocal track to bring out and "fix" the vocals.

Despite the poor sound quality of Blame it on the Moon, I really like it a lot. That's a great main riff and it reminds quite a lot of the band 'Television'. I do sometimes like to hear the loose sound of tracks recorded live and this has a genuinely feelgood live feel to it. It's cleaned up quite well from the old tape anyway.
