Welcome to the music of Carlo D'Anna's Ridiculous Dream music. Also known as "Dream Warrior" in some circles. Influences and music styles ranging from basic to progressive rock, with definite Retro seventies sound. If you enjoy the sound of Moody Blues, George Harrison, Genesis, Dead Can Dance, and others of the same style, more or less, you will probably like this music. I use quite a bit of Mellotron and acoustic fingerstyle guitar as well.

Story behind the song
A collab between two souls who have had similar journeys and many forks in the road.
Lyrics
I was never meant to influence the world That’s not the way I am To me, it seems absurd. As I went down the road through no-mans land Found myself still lost, So to the free wind I tossed - my wandering soul. (Refrain :) When you’re standing at the fork There’s a million ways to turn Only one way you can really go. Release me to the road without blinders, My eyes wide and open, To the Universe. Let the stars, my soul to navigate the darkness The wind will chart and harness These crazy roads of chance. (Refrain :) possibly or maybe left out: When you’re standing at the fork There’s a million ways to turn Only one way you can really go. After wandering many years, I finally found a place To where my lost soul has some space, to find some restful peace. Though my travels in my mind keep on and on, I can live here till I’m gone, If you will stay, to help me light the way.

A nice song, great recording, nice loud and balanced master, nice music, great lyrics and vox, nice harmony, a all in all well constructed song very nice indeed. Very nice lead vox I must say, the guitar is well placed, recorded and shimmers right in the mix, the flute is an added and brilliant bonus, to the station this ones goes. Peace Daniel

Quite a spiritual feel here...and a journey that's taken; with many crossroads/decisions that must be made in order to move on. I sincerely believe the majority of our lives are spent at such crossroads, trying to make sound decisions, yet making mistakes, too.. Nice job, you two...congratulations on a successful collaboration. :D

I love everything about this song ( I even listened to the lyrics ... which is not like me). So many good things to say about this track ... apart from the great blend of instruments, the thing that sticks out for me is that the vocals sound very natural and not forced (if you know what I mean) - this adds to the feelgood factor of the song.

Hi Carlo, glad to listen to your new song. Liked the warm flute with the guitar in the intro; then the song flows nicely with a very good use of acoustic instrument. Didn't like completely the drums, but it's a personal opinion, my friend. Perfect the add of the mandolin and that flute sounds so cool! Really enjoyed! Corrado

Very good! This song has nice relaxing pace and mood (a-la Camel's "Rajaz"). Inserting flute and kind of chanting in the end is original. Well Done!
