Story behind the song
It's about the shuttle Columbia which exploded during re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. I chose to use recordings of a mission other than it's last not only because I couldn't find any others, but also because I thought that had been overdone. The drums are called taikos, they're ancient japanese ceremonial and war drums. I use samples, not recordings, mainly for the reason that I am not working on any sort of budget at all, and so cannot afford 300 different types of taiko, and the musicians to play them.
