melodic piano soundtrack relaxing mood world peaceful
Artist picture
My music is a collage of world themes and sounds. It is often peaceful and it sounds like it would belong in a movie soundtrack.
I was born in Logan Utah. When I was three my family moved to Olympia Washington. My parents introduced me to their antique upright piano when I was five years old, and my love for the piano began. When I was ten my parents separated and I moved to Seattle, Washington with my mother and away from the piano. The next year I was given my first keyboard and I began to compose my first melodies. When I was 14 I moved back in with my dad and was reunited with the piano. In the years that followed I continued to create music on the piano. In early 2000 I got my first Roland synthesizer and began exploring different world music themes. In the ensuing years I expanded my repertoire and produced sixteen CDs. In 2005 my mother gifted me my very own piano. My music can best be described as melodic, emotional, and varied. My other passion is fine art. Since I was old enough to hold a pencil I was drawing mountains and nature landscapes. My band name is derived from my love of painting. All cover art is from my original paintings. The painting on the cover of 'What it Is to Love' was inspired by a trip to the Olympic Rain Forest in Washington State.

Strong production with delicate swirls of magical melodic undercurrents. Excellent soundscape for film. The main theme rises out of this wonderful arangement to elevate the listener, while delicate harps and tidal like swells keep you grounded. It's a wonderful listen the entire way. Ed

This is magical. Love the subtle bending, the ripple of the accompaniment, the gentle rhythm, instrument choice. Great work

Really nice feel to this, Ian. Just my sort of thing. Is this all the roland fantom? I just got the Juno D (couldn't afford the bigger brothers - besides, I've only been seriously trying to play for 10 months or so!) This track reminds me just a little of the movie 'last of the mohicans' - that has a really nice soundtrack. A little of vangelis, too. Cheers - John
