Story behind the song
As for the lyrics to the song itself, this is not in anyway supposed to glorify drug use but it is about addiction. In the first verse, the guy is trying to stop using on his own but he gets so messed up that he goes back to the needle which is what the 2nd verse is describing. It is not about me. I have never been an IV drug user but I have known people who have been and what they went through. I was actually inspired to write this after watching Intervention on A & E. While most of my songs are autobiographical to some degree, not all of them are. Thank God, this one isn't.
