Rocking 4-part harmony

I am an independent writer/performer/producer making summery sounds with lots of harmony, guitars, and emotion.
Brian Wilson said of his epic work Pet Sounds, "I wanted to make the listener feel loved." Those words have always remained with me and I hope to share loving, healing sounds with the listener as well.

Story behind the song
A story of gratitude for how good I really have it. The music is inspired by Brian Wilson's "Lucky Old Sun" CD. All sounds by me.
Lyrics
Top, Bottom, Inside and Out! Even when I'm surrounded by drifting snow There's a love inside me radiating quite a glow Nothing can chill me, nothing can cool me down And nothing can throw shade over this love I've found Sunshine of heavenly love, Sweet rays from God above Sunshine that I'm glad about Top, bottom, inside and out! Riding in the car the breeze blows back your hair That a woman like you loves me just doesn't seem fair The highway is humming your name inside my mind You're the best friend woman that I never thought I'd live to find Sunshine of heavenly love, Sweet rays from God above Sunshine that I'm glad about Top, bottom, inside and out! The moon is sitting pretty like a snowcone in the sky But the summer sun is shining in the heart of this lucky guy God has really blessed us Honey, our love to grow We have four children in the back seat of our GTO Sunshine of heavenly love, Sweet rays from God above Sunshine that I'm glad about Top, bottom, inside and out!

Absolutely awesome!! The vocals and harmonies are wonderful, fantastic expression. Love the guitar solo. The whole song is produced and arranged to perfection. This would surpass anything that the Beach Boys could do! Superb!
Hey Johnny How are you my friend! You never disappoint us with your music and this one is another gem. I love its brilliance, energetic vocals and great guitar playing. It does have a Christmas sound to it. I don't know if that was intentional or not. I heard your collaboration with Tammy on "Reach For His Hand". Great guitar playing there as well. I left some comments on Tammy's board. When you get the chance, check out some of my acappella music. All the best to you and yours and may God keep you in the palm of His hand in whatever part of the world you are stationed. Happy Thanksgiving!

Pretty sharp, Johnny! :D Classic Beach Boy stylings, and your writing is so full of love for that lucky lady in your life. :D The guitar work is GREAT, and so is production! :D You hit a home-run with this one, also! :D

Top,Bottom, Inside and out this song is good as anything in your catalog. This is classic you. Mixing elements of the Beatles (Love it), Brian Wilson, Johnny Proctor into a listeners delight. I saw Matt gave a 4 in production but I am not sure what could be improved. Excellent!! No I did not go to Johnstown. LOL! Sarah was in Altoona at a local Sheetz (Like a 7 and 11 store). I missed her there by about 20 minutes as I was there before her. Obviously I had no idea she would be there as it was an unannounced stop. I think she might be a nice hockey mom but I am not too excited about her as VP. Well it looks like OBAMA is going to win and the people should be careful of what they wish for. P.S. Mr. Palin ( T O D D) was at the PSU/Michigan game yesterday. I went and it was the biggest crowd in PSU history. 110,00 plus.

Wow! Another great proctor song. Contemporary, yet 60's... very cool. Love the vocals and the smokin' guitar solo. The little breakdown for the falsetto into the fade is killer. This immediately jumps right in there with my other favorite JP tunes!!

Fun! From the toe tappin beat to the Omdidewahwah's in the background, this is another fine top down-crank it up- sing along on a summer day song (once I learn the words). Good job Johnny. You, Matt, and Laurie make me so glad I found this website.

Mr Johnny, back for another listen this evening.. thanks for the comments and back at ya , nice song my favorite thing about it is the thing I am trying the most to improve something that I forget about is the " groove " the way the rythm creates the foundation of the song , you are a great bass player . I also enjoyed the lyrics because they are accessible in a familiar way , but unique to your stlye , there are times when familar sayings for the musical stlye fit perfectly , I know people will say " don't use cliches " in lyric writing but I think it depends on how you present them . yeah, yeah , yeah is a great " Cliche " but it is exactly what some pop songs need LOL ( there is a group now the YEAH YEAH YEAHS ) , that is what pop music is to me anyway ,Also you have a Gospel / spiritual lean to to your words which is refreshing. Not only do I recognize the Brian wilson influenced stlye in words and music I enjoy it as did the Raspberries and many other bands , I a
