My music is a collage of world themes and sounds. It is often peaceful and it sounds like it would belong in a movie soundtrack.
I was born in Logan Utah. When I was three my family moved to Olympia Washington. My parents introduced me to their antique upright piano when I was five years old, and my love for the piano began. When I was ten my parents separated and I moved to Seattle, Washington with my mother and away from the piano. The next year I was given my first keyboard and I began to compose my first melodies. When I was 14 I moved back in with my dad and was reunited with the piano. In the years that followed I continued to create music on the piano. In early 2000 I got my first Roland synthesizer and began exploring different world music themes. In the ensuing years I expanded my repertoire and produced sixteen CDs. In 2005 my mother gifted me my very own piano. My music can best be described as melodic, emotional, and varied. My other passion is fine art. Since I was old enough to hold a pencil I was drawing mountains and nature landscapes. My band name is derived from my love of painting. All cover art is from my original paintings. The painting on the cover of 'What it Is to Love' was inspired by a trip to the Olympic Rain Forest in Washington State.

Lovely peaceful flow, gentle ripples of piano arpeggios capped by very sensitive and expressive melodies on well chosen instruments. You are a master of this genre without a doubt. - Thanks for the listen - Derek

This is one of my all time pieces of music. This piece goes straight to my heart. It expresses so beautifully, the sadness of life. Music can be the language of the heart and this piece truely expresses that language. Even though it is sad it is very healing.

I've said this before, all your songs are very beautiful, well produced and played, melodies just grab you and don't let go, this is no exception, love it.
Very lovely sound to this one, as are manyof your ballad style pieces. The piano is right on the money. Very nice composition and playing. Enjoyed as always. Blessings, John
