Guitars and Rock: frequently the rhythm is paramount. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. ...more guitar!
, is classical music, Higher Than Pope are a guitar band. They have been vaguely styled in overheard conversations as Beatles meets Neil Young meets The Doors, however that seems misplaced to my thinking. They seem more a mix of rhythmic and often syncopated pop guitar alternative. are more prone to commiting the usual heinous pop/rock sorts of guitar mischief. However. this go round HTP appear to be paying homage to both Guitars and Gustav Mahler. If you have ever wondered how some of your favorite classical music would sound if you changed some of the instruments in the orchestra out as guitar, bass and drums, then this is the album for you. is definitely more Mahler than Emerson, Lake and Palmer. They did not abandon the strings. They did add some amp. They also added some very delicious sounding acoustic guitars--massively moving electric guitar and some of the bass passages are truly tremendous. album at CD store near you. : Gustav's Guitars

I hear what your saying. I had someone demote a few of my songs too. The one that I put my heart and soul into the most! Shadow of the Heart. One star is rarely a fair rating and if you ask me i would do away with the ratings on this site! I did not warm to this song personally, but that is just because it is not my cup of tea. I liked Junken Man a lot! Keep doing what you love!

I am not a techno fan but I like this! I rated this 5 stars. Follow you heart when you create music. It does not have to be the same as all the others. Spiritwind pop

Reminds me of the opening soundtrack in the first(?) "Blade" movie. (I mean that in a good way.) I've gotten a few of those one-star ratings as well. Don't let it bother you. As long as you're having fun & cranking out creative, well produced & original tunes, who's to say it's not good? 5 stars from me.
The track itself is quite innovative, I was looking for that bag of mushrooms I had left over from high school to take so I could dive into this a little more. I'm not one to say what art is so honestly I have no criticism about how this song is written other than that it's trippy as hell. The production could be worked on a little more I feel but other than that keep doing what you do and congratulations on your Chart Ratings, great job!

Do you mean for aspects of this to be off beat?
