Story behind the song
Wish I had a story for this one - it would be so fun to write about. As it is, this song is storyless. Written quite quickly, I do remember. First song recorded for Bending Chords - done in one take. One of Van Devender's most requested pieces in concert. Written in one brief session, After The Rain fell quickly into Jeff's hands and is always fun to play. It is now available in written form as well and can be found at http://lulu.com/javamusik .

Some passages here very similar to "Strive", and techniques exactly the same. (This is a good thing. It sets your style.) Again, do you have the score(s)? I think the theme of "Strive" is more sharp, definite. (But rain is meant to be fuzzy, right?) I would really love to have a look at the score (s). The fast parts are just too fast for my ear (but not my fingers I hope). I love to play music by others but I strongly depend on the score for that. I'd love to see a couple of your scores among those by Beethoven, Eric Satie, Tony Banks, Elgar, Albeniz... on my piano.

Just love your crisp playing, melodies and moods you invoke! After the Rain is wonderful - as is Strive. I'm going to have to spend some time working my way down the rest of your play list! Thanks for adding me to your station and keep up the great work, Andy PS - if you ever need any lyrics...

I'm hooked, this is amazing and just so emotionally connecting to my soul. I know where you have spent most of your life (Sitting on a bench) and I'm not talking about baseball either, Absolutely beautiflul and mindblowing... Penny
