This song has an underlying tone of dealing with addiction. Whether it be drugs, women, (both in this case) or whatever else!
southern rock!
I've been writing songs for 18 years. I'm not the greatest musician/singer, but I love to play!
I started playing when I couldn't get anyone to put the music that I wanted to my lyrics. I love to colaborate with other writers!
Story behind the song
I had a friend that was like a brother to me. He was fighting an addiction he had to drugs. His girlfriend (who he was also addicted to), kept him using so that she could manipulate him. I wrote this song hoping that it would be of some help to him or anyone else who has their own struggle.
Lyrics
MISERY BLUE
Oh there's a feeling, deep in my soul
it tells me to hold on, but I can't let go
But there's another, voice in my head
it wants to push me, right over the edge
another story that's yet to be told
it's one of heartache, that started long ago
you've added chapters, to this fairytale
one of deceit, and another of betrayal
Chorus
AND I FIND THE SORROW,THAT TOMORROW BRINGS
INFECTED IS MY MIND, AND MY DREAMS
FOR THE HOPE OF TOMORROW,
FOR THE HOPE OF TOMORROW I WILL REACH
you're just another, who turned my love stale
to send my heart running straight back to hell
how can I love again, with you twisting up my mind
with a handful of broken dreams, you punched me in the spine
why can't you just stop, playing your little games
you're messing with my mind, it's driving me insane
oh I cannot stand to be, up against a wall
don't put yourself so high, that you can't take a fall
(CHORUS)
