some long past first of May workers parade a few days after the Chernobyl disaster, I' m in this history and somebody I loved.
experimental, for some time now: microtonal
atonal microtonal
Story behind the song
as I said they did not tell us to take cover an' stay indors. instead we waved flags in the streets on the first of May and basked in the beauty of this sunny day and the radioactivity. I hold no big grudges. still I think this piece of history is worth a song.
Lyrics
Thyroid glands kilt by cloud;
radioactive cirrus.
We're kids with a flag.
Thy won't tell us nothin' 'bout no power plant.
ref;
I ain't been to no Chernobyl, it's been to me.
It's most beautiful first of May I've ever seen.
I ain't been to no commune, it's been to me.
I ain't wearin' no hip bandana, neither is she.
Isotopes' killin' spree,
I soak them, sponge them thee.
History an' lovie-dovie.
Flow o' time only makes love stronger, my love.
"ref"2;
I gone to no future, no future, I'm here to stay.
Is this isotopes shimmer or is this the day?
How stupid is this to have been in love
when radioactive fall-outs, times so ploogaf.
Ain't betrayed you under tree,
neither oak nor a pine-tree.
Just Big Brother bitten dust.
Perfection Of An Action, you stay with us.
ref;
I ain't been to no Chernobyl...
Sounds like Gong, smashed in the head and retarded and left to fend for itself in the big wide world! Great track. ART
