Also known as Voodoo Child, Moby is a versatile musician who gained recognition in the early 1990s for his contributions to dance & techno music. His creative talents have made him a much-sought-after remixer. In 1995 he released Everything Is Wrong, a critically acclaimed album spanning several vastly different genres of music. A year and a half later, his Animal Rights album surprised many who never expected him to do a rock record. Moby seems to thrive on controversy, unashamedly bearing his soul for us in music that ranges from introspective ambient to relentlessly hard techno and rock, and anything in between. I Like To Score, a compilation album of songs made for or inspired by movies and TV shows, came out in 1997. It included the hit song James Bond Theme (Moby's re-version), which appeared on the soundtrack for the Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies. Moby's latest album, Play, is almost here! "The album is good, if I dare say so myself," understates Moby. "Much more downtempo than previous stuff." Play will be released worldwide on 17 May, except in the USA, which will get it on 1 June. Honey, its first single, came out last August. The next single, Run On, will be released in the UK and Europe on 26 April. A combination of the two will be released in the USA on 11 May.
