Country BPM: 160 / Key: C / Time: 3:57 well I was taking a trip down to Louisianna that internet map said to go through Alabama so I took a short cut and wound up getting lost somewhere around Timbukto everything was fine with my pickup truck I had no worries cuz I'd just filled up the sun was starting to raise it's head and the roads were covered in dew Just soon as I rounded a real sharp curve I jerked the wheel and started to swerve next thing I knew I was eyeball to eyeball with a big ole swamp buck Well that deer was caught totally by surprise I couldn't do anything but shut my eyes and when that deer flew up over my hood the only thing I could do next was duck the body part I saw next was anybody's guess a furry clump of butt hair sittin on my chest that big ole buck had come on through and was now sitting in my lap well I jumped out thankful just to be alive but that son of a b!tch looked like he wanted to drive cuz he was jumping up and down in the drivers seat banging the roof & wearing my John Deere hat well I knew gettin him out was gonna be tough but I had no idea he was gonna be that rough so I called 911 to ask for a lil help then I could file my claim I told the operator I didn't know where I was at but I had a dear in my front seat taking a nap well she was laughing so damn hard that lil woman forgot my name She said sir, you just wait and we'll be right there we're sending fire trucks in from everywhere and it might take us a lil while but don't worry sooner or later we'll find you well I's sitting on my tail gate when they pulled up 12 firefighters jumped off that ole fire truck then they all were laughing so damn hard nobody knew what in the he|| to do By now that ole deer was awake and getting bold then the chief said we've called animal control cuz he'd been doing his job 20 years and he would know how to handle this the animal guy said this weren't a big deal he could get that deer off my steering wheel so he pulled out his red-neck for dummies handbook and started checking things off his list then he pulled a doe out of his truck by a leash and walked right by so that buck smelled the heat and he come outta there quicker than you could say lickety split Then both of them ran off into the woods and I told'em all thanks for doing what they could then I had the embarrassing job of calling my insurance to explain every lil part if it well the insurance settled and gave me a new truck and I hope it never happens again with a lil luck but for the situation now, everybody's happy let me make that perfectly clear But the next time I have to go to Louisianna you can bet your a$$ it won't be through Alabama cuz I really like my new truck a hell of a lot better than I like those damn deer So if you're looking for the moral in this story you won't have to look far in that category remember vehicles don't always win the battle when it comes to deer Maybe you've never seen one on the highway but chances are you WILL one of these days and just remember every once in a while the buck really does stop here so watch out for those those damn deer!!
