Chantel Rose, now sixteen, started her career by composing and performing at the tender age of seven. By age nine Chantel became the youngest member of Power Praise, a fifty voice youth choir that originated out of the inner city of Boston, that performed before crowds of over forty thousand annually. She appeared as the opening act for the legendary Temptations at Boston’s famous Symphony Hall and for the opening of the Boston Celtics’ home games. In addition, she has performed in live concerts in Portugal and Holland. At the age of fourteen, Chantel was featured as an exceptional lead and background vocalist on the “Freedom Music Project,” a collaborative recording of African American and Jewish singers celebrating freedom. Over the summer of 2002 Chantel made her television début on a 20th Century FOX pilot entitled “ The Center.” As a result of her many appearances and community involvement, Chantel was granted a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music’s five-week summer program. Since that time, she maintained honor roll status at Weston High School in Weston,Massachusetts and with focus and great dedication, managed to graduate one year early in order to pursue her career in music. After taking notice of Chantel’s excellence in academics and extraordinary skills in music theory, songwriting and performing, Berklee College of Music offered her a full four year scholarship. She was recently honored as the winner of the Berklee College of Music’s Singer/Songwriter Competition. She’s already scheduled to perform for over one million youth for 2003 through 2004, traveling with youth pastor E. Christopher Hill, of the famed Bishop T.D.Jakes’ Potter's House. She has also served as the primary worship leader at her Church and often travels with her father teaching other youth how to obtain a balanced life and relationship with God. With her youthful sophisticated style and unique image, Chantel is poised to capture the attention of audiences both young and mature world wide. Ms. Rose is now working on her first solo album under the guides of her father and producer LeRoix Hampton and Multi-Talented Producer/Arranger Wirley Morris of Take Note Entertainment out of Atlanta. Chantel is dedicated to sharing her gift to all that will listen, along with the intention of achieving her ultimate vision of crossing cultural and social boundaries while inspiring her generation to maximize their potential in every aspect of life.
