Still searching for the band
Karly's love for music and vocal performing began at an early age. At sixteen Karly has taken her vocal talent to the next level
studying classic and contemporary country music, and creating her own style. Karly has a gift for "belting" out challenging tunes that demonstrate her style, vocal strength, pitch, tone and extensive range. Recorded in Nashville, Karly's music style is "wholesome and true" country that rocks. Her influence comes from other contemporary country artists like LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, Rascal Flats, and Faith Hill. Contemporary Christian music like Mercy Me, has inspired her faith and her style of music as well. Karly hopes to see her music crossover someday, and use her talents like Josh Turner and so many other country artists, to help others focus on the need for religion in their life. Karly's music helps her to stay focused on her goals. She would love to attend LSU and earn her degree in Animal Science, and is learning quickly to balance school, sessions, and other obligations so that those dreams become her reality. Karly was surrounded by talent to produce her unique sound for the debut CD. Many master musicians joined Karly in the recording sessions like fiddle/mandolin player Aubrey Haynie, 2007 International Bluegrass Dobro Player of the Year Nominee Randy Kohrs, Steel Player of the Year 2006 Mike Johnson, and many others. In Karly’s words: “I would like to thank all my family and friends for their support. I love yall so much! Without that constant encouragement, support, and faith, I am not sure that I would have been able to face the dream as I have today. I love you all and you know who you are. Thank you!”

Story behind the song
Jen's Mother always sent yellow roses to a good friend each year. When asked why, she told her that the color roses means friendship.
Lyrics
Yellow Roses Bright and early Monday morning The mailman brought a box A big bouquet of long stem roses From the local flower shop You signed the tiny card inside So I tore the ribbon free But the dull disappointing colors Washed away my dreams Don’t send me yellow roses I don’t want to be your friend Don’t send me yellow roses I like my roses red White tells me lasting promise Pink states a claim Orange shows growing desire Violet calls my name But you chose the only color That means we’ll never kiss Baby I need the crimson petals To lead me to your lips Don’t send me yellow roses I don’t want to be your friend Don’t send me yellow roses I like my roses red Everybody knows the flames of passion burn red So if you want to hold my heart Listen to what I said Don’t send me yellow roses I don’t want to be your friend Don’t send me yellow roses I like my roses red Don’t send me yellow roses I don’t want to be your friend Don’t send me yellow roses I like my roses red Don’t send me yellow roses
