Original music in Jazz-Fresh by: Alexis VAN EECKHOUT Saxophone-Composition-Arrangement Genres: Jazz-Fresh, Nu-Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Jazz-Rock, Acid-Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Tango, Mambo, Crossover, Classical, Film music, Soundtrack, ... Alexis Van Eeckhout, a self-taught musician and a student of the American Saxophonist J.R. Monterose, comes back, as hobby, with what is called a "Jazz-Fresh" (chill-out) style. His musical experience started at a very early age in his family. His first instrument of predilection whas the Clarinet. He played some Classical pieces o f music with his father who was a professional Classical Composer, Organist, and Orchestra's Chief., Later, he played Tenor sax, Alto sax, Soprano sax and Traverse flute with several Belgian bands . Since 1997, he has focused on blending his musical experiences and influences in order to create his own style. Working on his musical phrasing, melody, harmonisation and rythm as well as on a global musical ambiance for each piece. He likes to try a new musical approach with proposing new ways in harmonical structures . These pieces have been composed, performed ( Tenor-sax, Keyboards, Synth ) programmed ( Alto Sax vsti, Trumpet vsti, Pan Pipes flute vsti, Fula flute vsti, Traverse flute vsti, Bandoneon vsti, Acoustic piano vsti, Fender piano vsti, Vibraphone vsti, Hammond organ vsti, Guitars vsti, Violins vsti, Bass vsti, Double-Bass vsti, Drums vsti, Percussions vsti ) and recorded, mixed, mastered by Alexis Van Eeckhout himself . Truly, a music well suited for dream and evasion...

Absolutely astounding piece of music. This starts off as a really serene piece of music but then morphs into som many different forms with innovative use of rhythm, melody and harmony. I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again, but your use of bass and bass sounds as a melodic device is inspired. Magnificent sax, and superb keyboard and production skills. Being a superb composer helps as well, I guess. Sorry for the delay in posting, dear friend. You knew personally how much I loved this track some time ago but it's taken me a while to make it public. Huge congratulations. Cheers Brian

Hi Alexis....sorry i am so slow in getting here...but better late than never! Really liked the unbridled freedom of this song. Shadows of Bassonatine dance through it, but then there is that Rhodes tone and all that hypnotic tremelo. Then it just goes off into this very free and totally unpredictable section that is like orchids in a Hawaiian breeze. The latin flavored percussion was also a cool twist. Another very easy 5 stars. Excellent song Alexis! Pine

Alex, your composing is a major breaktrough in digitalrecording. You leave the cliche forms behind, and use the computer in a new way. This is what Marshall McLuhan meant. Film was only a real new medium when the 'close-up' was invented. You compose in a new way, using the new possibilities to full extend that our digital era offers. Great 'Mike Brecker' sax sound, but even more lyrical Love the ' atonal' elements in combination with major key Chopinesque chord progression in the second minorpart Beautifully 'doorgecomponeerd' piece. greetings, Hinzaldi

Alex your compositions are incredible. I love how you create movement throughout your tracks. And you actually have a variety of styles going on here. There's the Nu Jazz in the beginning and then you slip into a little classical mode and the ending is a little straight ahead. Very nice work Alex, I love it! Peace, JP

Alexis The song has generated so many comments in a very short frame of time I haven't been around! Another amazing production. I personally like the fretless bass on this one. Your song is like a story. Each one is quite unique. This one has a certain 'suspense' feel to it. Great work! Mas

This track reminds me of my favorite orchid, 'Vanda Mokara' which has elegant royal blue flowers. Yes, elegant and royal really fit this piece, just wonderful. Highly recommended.

Alex, Well done. As always the production value is spot on. The different textures all blend in to create a very emotional piece. I can tell you spent a lot of time programming parts. Your sax weaving in and out has a haunting like effect on the listner. I also dig what you did with the double bass programming. Bravo!! Gregory
