Story behind the song
Moving to New Jersey from my warm and sunny hometown Miami in the dead of winter to climb up the corporate ladder served as wonderful inspiration for "Island Standard Time". Dedicated to Screener No. 12 @ TAXI. You know who you are!

I like it!! It has a very jazzy pop feel to it. Excellent vocals and instruments. Enjoyed the listen very much.

This is my favorite original work thus far. Ryan agrees. I like both the original and newer versions.

Firstly, I love percussion so this intro was fun, entertaining and a good anchor for this song. The acoustic you used sounded exceedingly clean, and the progression (though initially a little different for this style) suited the rhythm well. And the lead guitar at the intro and exit was astutely done and placed (but IMO could have been a little more prevalent in the song). BTW I liked the story and your vocals on this piece, well done.

My all-time favorite of Steve's early original work. Always makes me want to go on vacation.
