Story behind the song
Maewyn Succat; Patricius; Patrick; Also known as the Apostle of Ireland; Memorial 17 March Born 387-390 at Scotland as Maewyn Succat Died 461-464 at Saul, County Down, Ireland Kidnapped from the British mainland around age 16, and shipped to Ireland as a slave. He was sent into the mountains as a shepherd, where he spent his time in prayer. After six years of this life, he had a dream in which he was commanded to return to Britain. Seeing it as a sign, he escaped. He studied in several monasteries in Europe becoming first a Priest, then a Bishop. Patrick was later sent, by Pope Celestine, to evangelize England, and then Ireland. In 33 years he effectively converted all of Ireland. In the Middle Ages Ireland became known as the Land of Saints. During the Dark Ages Irelands' monasteries were the great repositories of learning in Europe, all this, was a consequence of Patrick's ministry.

Very nice, has a rich quality that stays with you after it's over. As others have said, would be a great soundtrack for "In Bruges", type of movie. Five stars, highly recommended.

Peaceful, sweet, very nice melody. It has all attributes to be celebrated as a folkloric tune! We anticipate five stars for eventual future vocals and lyrics :D Walking by the windy Irish fields... the sheep...appreciating the sunset... pure thoughts... backing to a warm home. But before the last thing, taste a good black and strong Guiness ;) .
