Story behind the song
Tribute to Lao Tsu, Taoist prophet This is a collab with Paul Killington, guitarist of the Maria Daines Band of a song i wrote in the late 70's. Heartfelt thanks to Paul for adding his incredible talents to this tune and resurrecting it to it's fullest potential and making my first collab a most memorable experience. I really like this one, Charlie. Odd, but it made think of Khalil Gibran (maybe the Prophet imagery). Love the way you present the message in a simple,succinct delivery... Then the dynamics of that rockin' interlude really emphasizes the contrast between...well, as you say, words and action. There's more to this song than what you hear on the surface. Very well done!

A beautifully serene intro with the flute leads into harmonizing vocals that reminded me a little of the Mama's and the Papa's. Then wham!! At 1:26 she shifts into high with an awesome guitar ride and a fantastic rockin' rhythm! Some great playing! Then shift into smooth again...ahh, very well created, an enjoyable listen!
