Supertropolis officially hit the music scene in 2003 with the hit single Out Da Club (the cover of 50 cents In Da Club), originally a group, Supertropolis would go thru many transformations over the years but one key player always remained, the founder Paul Means.
After hitting the top 40 countdown and blazing to the #1 most requested song in 2 weeks, the vision of being an all original group was placed on hold after seeing how powerful and effective this tool of witnessing had become.
After releasing the single Praying in my closet ( the cover of Eminems Cleaning out my closet) Supertropolis would set the stage for the historic M P 3 mixtape project, which would consist of 3 cds over the course of the next 3 years that would set the stage for the debut album.
After signing with I AM RECORDS in 2004, Supertropolis calendered an estimated 8 show per month schedule grossing an estimated $20,000 in revenue in the next 14 months and became a house hold name in the Holy Hip Hop genre.
After the tragic loss of Paul's mother in 2006, things took for the worst and the group was never the same.
In 2008 after opening concerts for everybody from Canton Jones to Lecrae to Da Truth it was decided that Supertropolis would close the curtains but a new vision was revealed and now the founding member has taken on the Supertropolis brand (which now consist of ALL COVER SONGS) and decided to continue doing this powerful work alone.
With 2 new albums (REMIXES 4 CHRISTIANS & LOVE COVERS ALL) which consist of almost every cover song done over the past 6 years and some all new material,(update the song love locked went #1 on the local charts on Aug 31, 2009), scheduled to be released on Sept 26, 2009, we can assure you that the name Supertropolis is here to stay.
