MORE OF YOU is a new and evolving group. It all started with John Davidson passionately pursuing God and being gifted with songs of worship from God. Although him and his wife own a construction company, his passion is music and living in the Psalms. The debut feaured Abbey Andrews a local extremely gifted and annointed singer/songwriter. We had almost 200 people at our opening concert. The power of God and His annointing was very strong. We believe that God has annointed this CD to bring peace and healing.

Story behind the song
It had been seven months now since I had said in a prayer meeting “Whatever it takes”. It had been just over 40 days since we started the series in our church on 40 days of presence, but perhaps more importantly, it had been five months of meeting twice a month with one of the elders of our church. This particular man loved the presence of God. A ministry he was devoted to and began mentoring in my life was theophostic ministry. Simply put, he was a facilitator and helped invite Jesus to areas of your past that need healing. Why do I do the things I do, why am I so easily triggered by some things? Why are some sins so hard to overcome? I began to discover that many things that I do today were the result of developing wrong thought patterns from experiences in my early childhood. This song was the result of freedom I received from one of these experiences. Let me tell you the story. When I was four years old I had done something very bad. I don’t really remember what I did; I probably hit my brother or something. Because of what I did I was told I would get no Christmas presents. I don’t think it had sunk in because Christmas came and I watched as my older brother got a Lionel train set. He excitedly set it up and was playing with it. As I went over to play with him I was told I could not play with him because I had been bad. I watched my other brother get a toy that was a dashboard with all these cool knobs and dials on it. I went to play with him and was told that I couldn’t play with him either. Somehow in the midst of this experience a wedge had been set. The seeds of hurt and rejection had been sown, and now looking back this was one of the major memories of my life that had in many ways set the course of my life. I was bad. I was isolated and I felt unloved. As I let Jesus into this memory I began to cry uncontrollably, I saw a picture of Jesus with a huge smile on his face. He had presents in both arms. They were big presence. He looked at me with love in His eyes and said “Can I play with you.” You want to play with me? But I have been bad. Not only do I want to play with you, I have these wonderful presents for you. We sat down on the floor and with squeals of delight opened the presents together. It was if the light came on. This is what grace and mercy is. God loves me despite my sin and doesn’t turn his back on me. He doesn’t isolate me. Sometimes His discipline is kindness. Sometimes His punishment is giving me what I don’t deserve. IT was as if the God had rained his love down on me and drenched me in his love. His mercy and grace had warmed me. God set me free from a lot of junk. A couple of days latter the overflow of my heart penned this song of adoration to the Lord
Lyrics
Verse 1 Rain down on me Lord Drench me with Your love Soak me in Your grace Your mercy be my joy Verse 2 Shine down on me Lord Warm me with Your love Show me by Your light You word that I might live Chorus Set me free Wash me clean May Your river Flow through me Compassion String My hardness gone Let grace and mercy Be my song Bridge Your river flows through me Full of grace and mercy Your love is strong and true That's why I love you
