Lyrics
Well Bobby set out on his own At the young age of thirteen He decided he was gonna see the things The elders said, shouldn't be seen He was a little nervous at first But now he blends into the scene Well you better get your raincoat Cause it looks like its gonna be a rainy day And you better grab your flashlight and your mapsco Your gonna need them to find your way Bobby Blue what you gonna do Bobby ohh where you gonna go When they call your name Bobby Blue what you doin' here Just wastin' away Bobby Blue you cant win the game If you dont play Well Bobbys not a bad kid you know He just gets a little hasty to his feet Well he ran into a little trouble Got accused of shooting a man on the street words and music by; Danny Horton copyright 1987

Well, Danny, the remarks about too much reverb was and is right on the money..it makes your vocal hard to understand. :) The idea of reverb is to enhance, rather than drown the vocal/music..I think the music would be ok, if you cut down the reverb on the vocal. You just add just enough; at least in this song, to hear a very faint echo..and it has to be very faint. In my humble opinion. :)

I love the sound on the vocals - takes me back to some of those rock classics (a kind of mild distortion). This was a sound that John Lennon had on some of his more upbeat numbers. This is great - a big, full sound and terrific guitar playing. This definitely rocks - fantastic stuff!

This sounds like early Floyd to me. Sid Barret style. Great song!

This is a really strong song!! I really like the message/story, it holds good interest with very few words .. great melodies vocal/guitar weave a nice pattern. Vocals are strong, but a little too much reverb depth, the production suffers from hiss, probablly got in one of the tracks with too much pre-amp gain, easy fix with MAGIX .. Overall this is a 5 star tune with strong parts, and a great storyline! Great work Danny!

Danny, "Bobby Blue" captures the best of Van Morrison's passion, Bob Dylan's lyrics and Bruce Springsteen's aural movies. Reminds also of Curtis Mayfield's "Superfly". You have a really orginal sound and message. Love it. Very creative guitar textures! Congrats! Johnny
