Story behind the song
I wrote this song about a girl I knew in high school who left my life and I never was able to tell her what I thought about her. I was always there for her and we just never got close enough to love.
Lyrics
One Step Out Of View Written by: Johnny Rodes and Renee Nicole Morgan One Step Out Of View Ive been drifting …back in time… back to when you were mine….. And every night I just can’t let you go…. So here I sit girl and theres something I thought you should know We lost touch when we were both just seventeen…. Running off to chase our separate dreams Now my life is falling apart at the seams…. Everything was so simple then so it seemed CHORUS Its not the rain that’s fallen down… its just your tears… that flood the ground Take a good… look around… I’ve been waiting here for you…I’m always one step out of view I took my chances under the city sky…. I might have failed but at least I tried And As I crumble girl this just aint right… I can’t sit alone without you another night CHORUS BRIDGE How many miles must I run in my life … I’m always ending up lost How many times must we fight over things…. And never think of the cost CHORUS MUSIC ONLY You’re married now and they say he treats you well… A fancy colonial house on top of that hill The lonely feeling that you feel inside…. Could be erased if every wrong in your life could be right CHORUS 2X © Johnny Rodes and Renee N. Morgan 2004 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. A.S.C.A.P MEMBERS
