For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. Lyrics
Pickin’ Next To Heaven (c) October 2007 Wyman Lloyd/Alan D. David, BMI All Rights Reserved V1 You know how us pickers are We gotta play those honky tonks and bars Don’t think I’ll make it into God’s domain But maybe he’ll let me entertain Chorus Pickin’ right next to Heaven So seekers can find their way Pickin’ right next to Heaven With pickers from another day V2 Ringin’ clear cross Jordan’s tide For folks coming to the other side If my pickin’ is pure and I don’t ever sin Some day they might let this picker in Chorus V3 Depends on how much I gotta pay It might take a hundred thousand days Hope my music’s good, cause the other way is Hell I’ll make that pickin’ ring just like a bell Chorus Tag Pickin’ outside those Pearly Gates
